1st November 2002: Final report of module 2, Freshwater studies
The final report of the CS2000 module to provide information on the status, distribution and recent changes in freshwater habitats in Great Britain (including assessments of freshwater biota, river habitats and water chemistry) is now available via this web site.

15th August 2002: Final report of module 7, Land Cover Map 2000
The final report of the CS2000 module to produce the UK Land Cover Map 2000 is now available via this web site.

1st July 2002: Final report of module 3 (part 2), Results of MAFF-funded work in the CS2000 (woody species in hedgerows)
The final report of the CS2000 module looking at woody species in hedgerows in CS2000 squares is now available via this web site.

27th May 2002: Final report of module 4, Increasing upland representation in Countryside Survey 2000
The final report of the CS2000 module aimed at intensifying field sampling in the uplands of England and Wales is now available as a PDF file. 

20th May 2002: CS2000 CIS file download pages
It is now possible to download CS2000 files for use with the Countryside Information System software package from this web site.

2nd April 2002: Issue 7 of CS2000 News available in PDF format
The latest, and sadly the last, issue of CS2000 News, has been published, and is available from this web site as a PDF file.

27th March 2002: Final report of module 3 (part 1), Recording cereal field margins in Countryside Survey 2000
The final report of the CS2000 module looking at recording cereal field margins in CS2000 is now available via this web site.

19th March 2002: Final report of module 5, Bird populations and environmental change
The final report of the CS2000 module looking at bird populations and there responses to environmental change is now available via this web site.

19th March 2002: New section on follow-up research activities
Click 'Research' in the main menu (to the left) for information about research activities which are designed to follow on from the survey phase of CS2000. Currently there is information about the FOCUS programme of research, being conducted by the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.

15th February 2002: Results tables for the main CS2000 field survey
Detailed results of the main CS2000 field survey (Module 1, Survey of Broad Habitats and landscape features) are now available as a set of data tables. Data are also available to download in the form of comma-delimited files, which can be imported into most spreadsheets and other software. To access the tables, click on Results & data in the menu (left) and follow the link from there under 'Data available from this web site'. The tables form the results section of the Module 1 final report, the text of which will be available in spring 2002. You can also click on the link below to go straight to the Module 1final report page.

7th December 2001: Final report of module 14, Drivers of countryside change
The final report for the CS2000 module looking at socio-economic drivers of countryside change is now available via this web site.

23rd November 2001: New, HTML version of the CS2000 report
Accounting for nature: assessing habitats in the UK countryside, the main report of the CS2000 survey published in November 2000, is now available as a new set of HTML web pages on this web site. This version of the report contains the full text and figures of the printed report and, in addition, clicking on many of the figures in the report reveals a table of underlying data.
